According to the assessment of the Road Traffic Infrastructure Management Center, the general traffic situation at Tan Son Nhat airport area is becoming increasingly complicated. Vehicle exit speed is slow, the line waiting for traffic lights is long. The main reason is due to the high traffic density exceeding the route's capacity.

To reduce the load on the airport gateway area, this unit proposed banning trucks from entering Truong Son Street in both directions. Particularly, the Bach Dang and Hong Ha branches are one-way roads, the truck ban will apply from Hong Ha to Truong Son road.
Because the above area currently has a number of large warehouses serving the airport, when deployed, the Road Traffic Infrastructure Management Center said vehicles can enter and exit warehouse No. 1 from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. today. after.
At the same time, it is necessary to soon expand Thang Long and Hau Giang roads to be planned into specialized routes serving freight transport for the airport.
